Firefighters are responding to a vegetation fire that has burned about 40 acres in unincorporated Brea on Saturday afternoon, prompting evacuation warnings for nearby communities, Orange County authorities said.
The fire, dubbed the “Carbon Fire,” was reported around 1:37 p.m. near Carbon Canyon and Olinda Place, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.
