County Fire Pickleball invited Santa Clarita residents to participate in an open Pickleball tournament to raise money for Los Bomberos de L.A. County.
On Saturday, County Fire Pickleball held its Dink-De-Mayo Pickleball tournament at the Paseo Club in Valencia for charity. Proceeds from the $60 registration fees went entirely to Los Bomberos de L.A. County, a non-profit organization aimed at mentoring and guiding low-income youth interested in the fire service.
County Fire Pickleball began as simply a group of L.A. County Firefighters obsessed with Pickleball. Since then, their combined efforts to raise money and hold events like these have grown both the size and reach of County Fire Pickleball.

This weekend’s duos tournament included men’s, women’s, mixed, and non-gender divisions, with games beginning at 7 A.M. and a minimum of 5 games in each division. This being a fundraising event, performance was not rated on the DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) scale, and instead, these divisions were used to ensure fair matchups.
