Police in Orange County are investigating a crash that left an 87-year-old man on a mobility scooter dead Thursday night.
Officers were sent to Irvine Boulevard and Groveland near the Stonegate and Woodbury residential communities in Irvine to investigate reports of a traffic collision involving a Tesla SUV and the man on the scooter, police said in a media release.
