British rapper Skepta has publicly urged Kim Kardashian and Kanye West to “protect your kids” after a video surfaced showing their 13-year-old daughter, North West, being hugged by an adult man at a Paris Fashion Week event.
The footage, shared on social media, captures North at the Vetements Menswear Spring/Summer 2027 show, where she initially extended her hand for a handshake before the man embraced her and they posed for a photo together. Skepta took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his frustration, stating that North should not have been interacting with strangers at such an event.
“A blind man could see she wanted a handshake,” he wrote. He went on to criticize the behavior of grown men approaching the young teenager, saying, “My fans know I try to stay out of [people’s] business but the way grown men, complete strangers try to use North makes me sick.”
When a user questioned whether hugging had become inappropriate, Skepta emphasized that North’s body language clearly showed she was not inviting an embrace, reminding everyone that she is only 13 years old and deliberately offered a handshake instead.
