ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – An 18-year-old is facing felony assault and arson charges after allegedly setting his sleeping chaperone on fire during an Alaska fishing trip, all to escape a youth treatment program, investigators say.
Isaac Caldera, a California resident, was in a residential treatment program for troubled youth and came up to Alaska in June as part of a group fishing trip.
Caldera was 17 when the crime took place, but has since turned 18 and is being charged as an adult…
