More than a year after the Anchorage Assembly voted to criminalize camping in specific zones of the city, Anchorage Police Chief Sean Case said the law is functioning well as part of a bigger strategy to address homelessness.
The law criminalizes camping in certain high-priority areas, like near schools, playgrounds, on trails or on the edge of high speed roads.
