Ted Stevens International Airport unveils 20-year expansion plan

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – The 2026 ANC Master Plan has been approved as Ted Stevens International Airport moves forward on several new projects to expand the role of Alaska’s biggest airport.

“The Master Plan is really a 20-year blueprint as to how the airport is strategically going to develop and grow and make sure that we’re accommodating future operations,” said Teri Lindseth, development manager for Alaska International Airport System.

With air travel on the rise, the terminal sees about 5 million passengers coming through it every year, and the master plan is projecting just over 2% growth in those passengers over the 20-year horizon, Lindseth said.
