ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Two soldiers are injured after a bear incident on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson.
The soldiers were on a land navigation training exercise on Thursday when they encountered the bear, according to the 673d Air Base Wing.
“A total force team from JBER was activated in response, and appropriate medical care is currently being provided,” the spokesperson for the 673d Air Base Wing said. “The incident is currently under investigation, and we are working closely with installation authorities and wildlife officials to gather all relevant information.”…
