Man killed in officer-involved shooting in east Anchorage

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – One man was killed in an officer-involved shooting early Tuesday morning that closed down roads in an east Anchorage neighborhood, according to police.

Police said the shooting centered around the area of Bragaw Street and Reka Drive, where homes and businesses sit.

In a virtual press conference by the Anchorage Police Department about the shooting — which closed down Bragaw between Northern Lights Boulevard and Debarr Road — Police Chief Sean Case said officers arrived at the scene just past midnight on a report of shots fired.
