Suspects are at large after a breaking and entering incident was reported in Frenchtown Township.
On Monday, July 6, at 4:14 a.m., deputies from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to River Raisin Powersports at 1065 North Telegraph Road for an alarm activation. While en route, a nearby resident contacted Monroe County Central Dispatch and reported seeing a vehicle drop off four to five subjects, and then hearing ATVs and dirt bikes operating on the roadway.
Deputy Jacob Llewellyn arrived in the area and saw a side-by-side UTV traveling eastbound across Telegraph Road with a dirt bike in the rear cargo area. When Llewellyn tried to stop the UTV, it fled into a nearby neighborhood, eventually driving onto a resident’s front yard, where two unknown subjects fled on food. Llewellyn deployed his K9 partner, Mako, and Lt. Ryan Sottile deployed the sheriff’s office’s drone. Both had negative results…
