ANN ARBOR, MI – The University of Michigan Health system is the top hospital in Michigan and one of the best in the country, according to the U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals rankings for 2026-2027.
U.S. News ranked UM health in the top 20 nationally in four different specialties: ophthalmology (No. 8), rheumatology (No. 10), urology (No. 16) and pulmonology and lung surgery (No. 16). Other specialties such as cancer, cardiology, heart and vascular surgery, geriatrics and others were also highly rated by the site.
