Storms possible as heat and humidity remain across Southeast Michigan

4Warn Weather – The Storm Prediction Center has placed the majority of Southeast Michigan under a Slight Risk, a level 2 out of 5, for severe weather today.

Although we’re seeing plenty of sun midday, the potential is there for thunderstorms to develop this afternoon and evening, carrying into tonight. A few storms may be strong. Damaging winds and large hail will be the main threats with storms that develop.

Part of the fuel for these storms is the heat and humidity we have across Southeast Michigan. Heat Advisories are in place until 8:00 p.m. for Lenawee, Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, Washtenaw, and Wayne counties, but no matter where you are it will be hot…
