Homes, schools, businesses without power in Brighton and Howell

Following a round of severe overnight storms, much of downtown Howell was without power the morning of Sept. 3.

DTE Energy is working to restore power across the region, including in Howell and Brighton. In total, more than 98,000 customers were without power as of 9:15 a.m. Thursday, according to an Outage Center Map.

“DTE’s Storm Response Teams are working hard to restore power to impacted customers as quickly and safely as possible,” the company wrote in a statement, reminding residents to stay at least 25 feet away from any downed power lines…
