Police are investigating a hit-and-run that occurred at the intersection of Main Street and US-12 on Sept. 2.
According to witnesses, a person in a wheelchair was struck by a green transit van towing a silver trailer. The vehicle fled the scene, last seen heading east on Dexter-Chelsea Road. A witness was able to provide police with the trailer’s license plate number.
When asked for an update, the Chelsea Police Department said, “We have been unable to locate the person who had reportedly been struck by the motorist.”…
