Men sentenced in drunk driving crash in Macomb County that killed Ann Arbor man

MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. – A Detroit man was sentenced on Thursday for a drunk-driving crash in Macomb County that killed an Ann Arbor man.

The crash happened on Dec. 29, just after 8 p.m., on Metropolitan Parkway, east of Groesback Highway.

Prosecutors said Torrance Irby was drunk when he rear-ended a car at a stoplight, pushing it into the back of a van.

The driver of the car, a 27-year-old Ann Arbor man, was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries…
