Sylvan Township is pursuing the bid process to lease the property at 2500 Pierce Road, better known as the location of the Cedar Lake Outdoor Center/Michigan Out-of-Doors Youth Camp, which is run by the Michigan United Conservation Clubs.
Sylvan Township is calling the land the Cedar Lake Camp, which the township board made a decision on at their Sept. 8 meeting. The Sun Times News (STN) followed up with Sylvan Township Supervisor Amanda Nimke, who said on Sept. 8, the Sylvan Township Board authorized her, the Supervisor, and township clerk Doug Jackson to pursue the bid process to lease the Cedar Lake Camp.
