Chelsea City Council created a deer management committee, which will consist of seven citizens and include a councilmember, at the Sept. 17 meeting.
“Over the past years, residents have come to Council reporting issues with the deer population damaging lawns and destroying landscaping, causing traffic safety issues, and other nuisance issues,” the Sept. 17 meeting agenda reads. “Last month, the Mayor, the City Clerk, and City residents met with the Department of Natural Resources to learn about residential deer management options.”
