Michigan hospice volunteers provided 37K hours of care in 2025

ANN ARBOR, MI — Arbor Hospice is recognizing volunteers who contributed more than 37,000 hours of service to patients and families across Michigan during 2025 as National Volunteer Week approaches April 19-25, according to an April 15 press release.

The Ann Arbor-based organization, part of the NorthStar Care Community, relied on 775 volunteers statewide who provided companionship and support to people facing life-limiting illnesses. The hours logged last year equal the work of 18 full-time staff members, according to the organization.
