YPSILANTI, MI – A longtime Washtenaw County principal is set to retire at the end of the school year after more than a decade she says was spent helping build a school rooted in care, equity and academic achievement.
Nhu Do, principal at Washtenaw International High School (WIHI) and Middle Academy (WIMA) since 2014, notified local families of her plans in a letter this week, citing a desire to spend more time with family and teach at the University of Michigan.
“This decision comes with a full heart,” she wrote Tuesday, April 14. “… It has truly been an honor to serve this school community — working alongside exceptional educators, supportive families and brilliant students who inspire us all. I am deeply proud of the work we have accomplished.”…
