ANN ARBOR, MI — The University of Michigan’s medical branch is informing over 500 individuals about unauthorized access that potentially involved their private health information from 2023 to 2025.
Epic Systems Corporation notified Michigan Medicine on Jan. 13 about “unusual activity involving third-party companies” that requested patient records through a national “health information exchange connection,” according to a May 1 UM Health announcement.
