Saline City Council passed a two-year contract renewal with Chief of Police Marlene Radzik at the May 4 meeting. Brought into the position in 2022, Radzik has renewed her contract through the city each year, and the consistency of her position led to City Manager Dan Swallow recommending the contract.
“I think her performance has been excellent,” Swallow said. “Definitely in terms of community involvement. She’s been out in the community whenever there’s been, for example, a protest downtown. She’s been present whenever there are any issues or incidents that come up.”
