LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A former Westland resident will spend the next two decades in federal prison for attempting to provide material support to Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham, better known as ISIS.
A jury convicted Aws Mohammed Naser, 38, of attempting to provide material support for a foreign terrorist organization and for being a felon in possession of a destructive device in June 2025, following a five-week trial.
