ANN ARBOR, MI – The University of Michigan is the No. 1 public university in the world, according to a new ranking.
Subject, a rankings website that focuses on outcomes, academics, selectivity and campus life, placed UM as the No. 14 college in the country. The school was the site’s highest-ranked public university, outranking the University of Southern California, University of California, Berkley and University of Virginia.
The site’s methodology based the rankings on graduates “five, 15, and 30-year median career earnings paired with alumni prestige across industries.” It also factored in academics prestige, acceptance rate, the share of applicants who choose this school over peer institution and the “campus environment.”…
