DALLAS A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is currently in effect in North Texas.

The watch area has been expanded to include the entire Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and surrounding counties. The watch remains in effect until 10 p.m.

Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms continue to move across North Texas this afternoon and evening. While the tornado threat remains low, some storms could produce damaging wind gusts, frequent lightning, torrential rainfall, and localized flooding.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect for portions of Jack, Palo Pinto, Parker, Stephens and Wise County.
