Texas airports could halt flights as strong storms barrel across the state

As major Texas cities brace for flooding rains amid a rare July cold front, there are reports of some travelers stranded on tarmacs for hours.

The Federal Aviation Administration warns that several major airports in the Lone Star State could see ground stops or delays until 11 p.m. Monday night, July 13, as severe weather brews overhead.

“We are on Flight 2613, and we have now been stuck on the tarmac in San Antonio for more than two hours with no food service and very little meaningful communication,” a frustrated flyer wrote on Facebook…
