One of the biggest weekends on the Kennedale Speedway Park calendar arrives this week, and there will be plenty at stake on both sides of the program.
The Texas Factory Stock Shootout, carrying major implications for the RaceON All-Star Challenge, will share the spotlight with the Summit Racing IMCA Southern Sportmod Super Nationals in a three day weekend beginning with practice and Sportmod All Star qualifying heats on Thursday, September 10th, continuing with a special preliminary program on Friday, September 11th, and culminating with a pair of $5,000-to-win main events on Saturday, September 12th.
For the Factory Stocks, this weekend could be about much more than the money. Current RaceON All-Star Challenge points leader Jeffrey Abbey is in Boone, Iowa, for the IMCA Super Nationals, meaning all indications are that the championship leader will miss the Texas Factory Stock Shootout.
