A nearly 51-acre housing development is planned for Fort Worth’s east side as a developer seeks approval to rezone two heavily wooded tracts.
The California-based Elbaz Family Foundation, which wants to build single-family homes at 7911 Meadowbrook Drive near Cooks Lane, requested new zoning for a 33-acre tract to eliminate single-family homes with a minimum lot size of 7,500 square feet. Instead, new zoning would allow for detached single-family homes with a minimum lot size of 5,000 square feet.
