Arlington city council approves downtown home for SiNaCa Studios

The Arlington City Council voted Tuesday evening to approve a resolution authorizing an agreement with SiNaCa Studios that advances the nonprofit glass arts organization’s planned relocation to 300 W. Front Street in downtown Arlington.

The partnership will turn a city-owned building into a destination for glass art in downtown Arlington. Plans include classrooms, artist studios, a gallery and community space offering hands-on workshops, demonstrations and exhibits for visitors of all ages, according to SiNaCa Studios.

“This partnership is about what becomes possible when more people have access to art,” said Breinn Richter, Executive Director of SiNaCa Studios. “Glass asks us to pay attention, trust one another and adapt when something doesn’t go as planned. And it gives us something tangible to hold at the end of an experience… a reminder that we can do something we once thought was beyond us. We are excited to bring more of those experiences to Arlington.”…
