Zayley Alvarado has made quite an impression in her first year of varsity golf.
The Legacy freshman is already considered to be one of the better young golfers in the Permian Basin with six tournament wins this year, including a District 2-6A medalist title last month in Lubbock with a 73-76—149 total, eight strokes ahead of the second-place finisher.
Alvarado now looks to take that next step and qualify for the state tournament by playing in the Region I-6A Championship Wednesday and Thursday at Tangle Ridge Golf Club in Grand Prairie…
