Arlington’s National Medal of Honor Museum named one of world’s most beautiful

Arlington’s National Medal of Honor Museum has been named to the exclusive World’s Most Beautiful Museums List 2026 by the Prix Versailles, an international architecture and design award program.

The museum is one of only seven institutions worldwide to earn the honor and the sole selection in the Western Hemisphere. The recognition, announced this week as part of the Prix Versailles’ 12th edition, highlights excellence in architectural design and cultural impact.

The museum opened to the public on March 25, 2025, exactly on Medal of Honor Day and the anniversary of the first Medals of Honor awarded in 1863.
