Only U.S. Carrier Serving Mexican City Plans Exit

American is cutting one of its international routes from its Phoenix hub this summer.

The Fort Worth, Texas-based carrier will discontinue service between Phoenix and Tijuana, Mexico, effective Aug. 3, according to Cirium Diio schedule data. An airline spokesperson confirmed the change on Saturday.
