Swedish pick-and-mix candy shop brings decades-old tradition to Fort Worth

On Saturday mornings in Sweden, children ask for candy. The weekly ritual, known as lördagsgodis, has been a fixture of Swedish life since the 1950s.

This summer, Lukas and Crimson Nathanson are bringing lördagsgodis to Fort Worth.

Swedish Candy Culture will open mid-to-late June at 3613 West Vickery Blvd. and offer over 200 varieties of imported Swedish candy in a pick-and-mix format. The space will also include a room for private events — children’s birthday parties and adult candy-and-wine pairings…
