Maryland Ice Cream Trail Returns For 2026

The Maryland’s Best Ice Cream Trail is back for its 14th year, offering a summer excuse to explore the state’s dairy farms and locally sourced ice cream shops. None of this year’s stops are in Anne Arundel County, but for anyone willing to make a day trip, it is hard to argue with ice cream.

The trail runs through September 7 and highlights Maryland’s dairy industry, including on-farm creameries and several new non-farm locations that serve locally sourced ice cream supporting Maryland dairy farms.

Digital Pass Added For 2026

Participants can use paper maps or a new digital pass through Bandwango, a web-based service that does not require a phone download. Visitors can check in at participating locations, collect points and qualify for prizes.

“I love seeing the way the trail evolves over the years as we interact with more consumers and farms,” said Maryland Secretary of Agriculture Kevin Atticks. “We are excited to have multiple ways to interact with the Ice Cream Trail this year and we can’t wait to get more people out to our dairy farms!”…
