A Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputy is being recognized after helping reunite a runaway juvenile with their family while off duty.
According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Alente Horn was preparing to start his shift when he stopped at Chipotle and noticed a juvenile sitting alone. Concerned for the child’s well-being, Horn approached to check on them and offer assistance.
During the conversation, Horn learned the juvenile was lost and unable to get home. The child was later identified as a runaway and had been diagnosed with high-functioning autism…
