SILVER SPRING, Md. (DC News Now) — Montgomery County firefighters put out a fire in Silver Spring on Monday after smoke was reported in a home.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) crews responded to the 2900 block of Dawson Ave. shortly before 8:15 p.m. for reports of smoke coming from the roof of a single-family home.

There, responding firefighters saw smoke at the rear of the home.
