With Montgomery County government offices closed for the Independence Day holiday, six County facilities will serve as cooling centers on Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4, providing residents without air conditioning a place to stay cool during the heat.
In his weekly message, County Executive Marc Elrich said the centers will be open from 11am to 7pm both days. “The County has designated six sites in the community as cooling centers on Friday and Saturday, when County offices are closed for the holiday.
