The Montgomery County Agricultural Fair will host a Sensory-Friendly Midway Morning on Monday, Aug. 17, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., offering a quieter and more inclusive fair experience for individuals with sensory sensitivities, autism and anyone who benefits from a lower-stimulation environment.
During the event, carnival rides and games will operate without lights or music, while vendors throughout the fairgrounds will also keep lights and music off whenever possible. The Pepco Community Stage will continue scheduled performances in modified, lower-volume formats, and the fair’s public address system will only be used for emergencies and lost visitor announcements.
