Howard County police have obtained an arrest warrant for a man accused of killing his girlfriend in Columbia over the weekend.
Darwin Carcamo-Santiago, 24, is charged with first- and second-degree murder in the death of Esmeralda Perez-Mendez, 35, of Takoma Park. Police say Perez-Mendez was found dead inside a residence in the 9000 block of Watchlight Court on the afternoon of July 26.
According to investigators, an acquaintance of Carcamo-Santiago discovered Perez-Mendez deceased in the suspect’s bedroom after responding to the residence. Police said she suffered injuries consistent with strangulation…
