Duke’s Grocery has once again been named the winner of the Best Burger category in the Washington City Paper’s annual Best of D.C. competition, which included restaurants throughout Washington, D.C., Maryland and Northern Virginia.
The London-inspired gastropub opened its first location outside of D.C. in Potomac Village in April 2025, bringing its signature Proper Burger to Montgomery County. The burger has consistently been ranked among the best in the region and has won the City Paper’s Best Burger competition multiple times.
