Six members of Squad 252 within the elite New York Fire Department Special Operations Command died in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. They included one officer, Lt. Timothy Higgins, and five firefighters – Tarel Coleman, Tom Kuveikis, Peter Langone, Pat Lyons and Kevin Prior.
