Lorton man ransacks Salvation Army, flees in stolen vehicle

ALEXAN Va. (7News) — A 30-year-old Lorton man faces charges after he ransacked a Salvation Army and sped off in a stolen van, leaving behind a trail of destruction, the Fairfax County police said.

According to officials, Akuamoa Boateng, 30, of Lorton, entered the facility located at 4915 Ox Rd in Fairfax by breaking a glass sliding door that leads to the Chapel.

Salvation Army’s National Capital Area Commander Major Mason told 7News that nearly every room on the first-floor of the two-story building were damaged in some way…
