GAITHERSBURG, Md. (DC News Now) — Several people are without a home after a fire broke out Tuesday morning in Gaithersburg, according to officials.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Spokesperson Pete Piringer said crews responded to the fire at a two-story townhouse in the 19300 block of Sandy Lake Drive at around 9:30 a.m.

At the scene, firefighters found flames coming from the home’s basement. Everyone who was inside the townhouse was able to escape, and the neighbors also evacuated.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze with no reported injuries. However, Piringer noted that three adults and 3 children will likely be displaced.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation…
