Arrest made in connection with Asheville homicide

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WAVY) — A man was arrested in connection with a homicide in Asheville, according to the Chesapeake Sheriff’s Office.

A vehicle occupied by Ikes Wallace, 36, was placed under surveillance in the early morning hours of May 20. The vehicle was eventually stopped at the intersection of Freeman Avenue and Bainbridge Boulevard in Chesapeake, where Wallace was taken into custody at approximately 7:45 a.m.
