Motor Mile Classic Car Show Rolls Into Downtown Asheville on May 30th

Downtown Asheville’s automotive history will take center stage Saturday, May 30, when the free Motor Mile Classic Car Show fills Coxe Avenue with classic Chrysler and other vintage automobiles.

The outdoor show is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. along Coxe Avenue between Hilliard and Buxton avenues. Admission is free, making the event accessible to families, collectors, history enthusiasts and downtown visitors.

The stretch of Coxe Avenue hosting the event was once Asheville’s original “Motor Mile” and its first zoned automobile district. Organizers say the show will recognize the dealerships and service centers that helped define the street during the city’s early automotive era…
