Carolina Brotherhood Ride honors fallen first responders on final 123-mile leg

FAIRVIEW, N.C. (WLOS) — Saturday, June 27, marks the fifth and final day of the 2026 Carolina Brotherhood Ride, where 25 first responders from fire departments across North and South Carolina will cycle more than 120 miles to honor local heroes who have died in the line of duty.

The annual event has taken on an extra-special meaning this year for firefighters in western North Carolina as one of three WNC fallen first responders honored was Battalion Chief Tony Garrison, who died during Helene.
