BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — Buncombe County Schools will have a new interim superintendent this fall as the district prepares for a leadership transition.
The Buncombe County Schools Board of Education announced Tuesday that Associate Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Reed will serve as the school district’s interim superintendent starting in September. This comes after Superintendent Dr. Rob Jackson announced his retirement.
Reed has worked in education for around 25 years, including the last four years as the associate superintendent of Buncombe County Schools, the school district said in a social media post.
