Habitat for Humanity celebrates 50 years with Asheville pop-up event

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Habitat for Humanity and Lowe’s are hosting a pop-up anniversary celebration in Asheville.

The entities have teamed up to celebrate Habitat for Humanity’s 50th anniversary and Lowe’s more than 20-year-long partnership with the organization, according to an Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity press release.

Habitat said the event includes hands-on crafts and activities to encourage a screenless summer, temporary tattoo and balloon artists and ways to learn more about Habitat for Humanity and its volunteer opportunities…
