Finding hope through housing: Asheville Housing Authority to host community panel on domestic violence and housing

Explore the often unseen connection between housing and domestic violence at the Housing Authority of Asheville’s event, Safe at Home: Understanding Domestic Violence, Housing, and Hope from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Thursday, July 30, in the Maple Crest Apartments.

For many survivors, leaving an abusive situation also means finding a safe place to live, rebuilding financial stability, and navigating an uncertain future.

Presented in partnership with Helpmate and Our Voice, the free community event will bring together local advocates to examine these challenges and highlight the role safe, stable housing can play in helping survivors heal and move forward. An audience question-and-answer session will follow…
