US Army Corps of Engineers installs first generators in wake of Helene

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WITN) – The US Army Corps of Engineers is stepping in to help communities across western North Carolina facing critical power shortages. On Friday, the Temporary Emergency Power team installed a total of four generators in disaster affected areas, with two at the wastewater treatment facility in Hendersonville.
