BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — A man accused of hitting and dragging a Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) deputy with his vehicle before leading a cross-county chase was out on bond for pending cases when the incident occurred, according to court documents.
Mitchell Gunter, 39, faces 21 charges, including assault with a deadly weapon on a government official and hit-and-run, after the Monday, March 23, incident.
